Thank You

Today’s Monday and I feel like writing something weird and happy, because why the hell not? I could go on about how sad the world is (and I will tonight at the poetry reading I’m attending – appologies to those in attendance), but frankly I’d rather not right now. We’ve all seen the news, thank you.

Since its creation almost two years ago, this blog has received over 2000 views and 1000 visitors. Some of them visit once, look around, nod a little bit perhaps (I hope) and go away again. Others come back with every single post. Whoever you are, however many times you visit (one or twenty or more), thank you!!

It means a lot to me, because you take some time out of your busy day and read whatever’s been trotting around my head lately. I’m glad if you take something away from it all, although it’s not a requirement (we each choose the shoes we wear to tread our own path, if not its twists and turns), and I’m glad if I make just a tiny little difference in your life, just like you do in mine. Really. Thank you.

I’m also celebrating because Stardust, Always just came out and I received my copies last week. Cue the above photo. I know I’ve harrassed people on Facebook about this for a while now, but I cannot stress this enough – Get yourself a copy!!! And then get your friends and family some copies too!! Yes, one little page of this amazing book contains a poem I wrote (to the editors: you rock, thank you!) but that’s not why I’m asking you to get it. As I’ve said before, ALL PROCEEDS go to fund cancer research at St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. It’s a good cause and you get some incredible stories (to my fellow authors: your words blew me away, thank you!!) to read too. So I’ll be shameless once again and ask you to buy it (and then review it, because reviews make the writing world go round)…

Pretty please?

Thank you!!!

  1. It does leave a lovely warm feeling when someone reads your blog and actually likes it!! It is nice to feel you have made some contribution whether small or big to someone’s day. I have really enjoyed getting to know the community over the last month (newbie) but there is so much to love. Congrats on your poem and such a worthy cause too. And thanks for some happy thoughts and news when yes, the news on tv is pretty awful every night.

    • Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Welcome to the community.
Lucky you, living in NZ (I peeked at your blog too). I was supposed to visit earlier this year but the trip was cancelled. I really hope I make it out there one day.
